This collection of 10 photographs were the result of a project I undertook based on the work of August Sander, a German documentary and portrait photographer.  His work, People of the 20th Century  focussed on images of people from a cross-section of society, showing a truthful depiction of their lives. Whilst replicating Sander's style and approach, I chose to concentrate on a particular section of society: Dogs and their Owners. This provided a rich and varied insight into the reasons for such a special mutual relationship, and throws a spotlight on a universally accepted aspect of Human behaviour.
